It is
really amazing how little Huntly (the once home of the Duke of Gordon) has
changed over the last hundred years and although some of the landmarks
have now gone such as the Saw Mill on the River Bogie, many of its
historical buildings still remain.
The
village of Strathbogie (now Huntly) dates from the 12th century
and has had an interesting, if not volatile history over the centuries and
we hope over a period of time to cover some of these events on Scottish
History online.
