The Gordon Schools were gift to the people of Huntly from Elizabeth Duchess of Gordon, as a memorial to her late husband George the 5th and last Duke of Gordon. Founded in 1839 the complex was to house the Parochial School, the Free Church School the Infant School and the Industrial School hence the name Gordon Schools. |
