The
letters written in the following pages are memories and personal
experiences of Ground and Aircrew during their service with the Banff
Strike Wing. Sadly many of the people who at the time of writing the
following letters, regrettably have now passed away. But due to their
efforts and that of Colin Jeffrey from Banff (who's interest in the
Boyndie Airdrome dates back to a boy of 14), this has given us a further
insight to the Banff Strike Wing of 1943 -1945. I would like to take this
opportunity to thank them for sharing their thoughts and information with
me. I hope by my small contribution in the construction of this web site,
that this helps keep alive the memories of the personnel who served at RAF
Banff and all those who lost their lives in the conflict during that time.
