I am enjoying this site very much. I found it through the Downing
pages. I'm reaearching My Clyne line as well. Having a difficult time getting Past Thomas
Clyne in North Carolina about 1800. So I'm always looking for Scottish ancestry. I'm
having a great time and enjoying your site very much..

The colors are gorgeous. better information about the Picts in a few minutes than
I've had in decades.
Looking for a mystery ship--a clipper with 23 sails--my grandfather built a model of it
(which I now have) in a box. He was a wright (carpenter?) and may have helped to build
this sailing ship in MacDuff or Aberdeen, circa 1825--1880. Can you suggest where I would
search to find this information?

I had started to write a fantasy short and the imagery was difficult because it was
entirely contrived. I wanted to enrich my story with detail and plausible myths and facts
for my own pleasure in the re-reading. I am fascinated by the mysterious ancient Scots and
the variety of clans cohabiting the beautiful green land of isles. Thanks for your
contribution. SCB

I chanced upon your web site while looking for information on the origin of the
Picts. I've enjoy perusing your site and have found in to be interesting and informative.
You might want to add Sir Charles Bell to your list of famous Scots. He was a Scottish
physiologist and surgeon, 1774-1842 and is responsible for indentifing Bells law, Bells
nerve and Bells Palsy.
I will certainly be watching for part two of 'The Mystery of the Fire of Frnendrought
1630'.....Char

Have'nt spent a lot of time at your site but I will be coming back - you are
bookmarked. I'm from Aberdeen originally and look like a typical Pict - dark, stocky, etc.
I'm keen to learn all I can. Thanks for the site.

You have wonderful site full of fascinating information. I plan to check back often
for updates. I have recently returned from a trip to Scotland.
It truly is an amazing country with its beauty and rich history. I was entrigued by the
resemblance of the
Highland area to the Mountains of North Carolina here in the USA. I can see why my
ancestors chose this area
to live when they first arrived from Scotland. I really felt as if I were home during my
stay there. Everyone
I met was so warm and friendly.

V good web site - don't know if you can help - but I need some information on a 17th
century Scot - Sir William Gordon of Minimore. They fought for a while with Farquharson of
Monaltrie, but after his death they formed their own unit.
Any info no matter how small would be appreciated

Very interesting. My reason for visting is my recently gained interest discovering
images etc. for incorporating into my 15mm Pict army or as they knew themselves the
Cruithni. Keep up the good work and good luck in discovering the lost stones.
Kind regards

My interest is in 'Pictish Pages'
I agree with your theory that Picts were largely an
indigenous people, ie non-Indo-European, or possibly in later
periods, an alliance of tribes of early (neither P nor Q)
Celts with some indigenous tribes.
Nice well organised site. Will check back in the future.
Hoping for more interesting stuff on the Picts.

A very good Start John. Although, perhaps you could expound a little more on the
events that took place prior to the boat Tipping and the great sea rescue after the water
came in and the great North Sea Diver in the shape of Wilson with a very wet Dry Suit.

Although WWII subjects are not my prime interests, I took the time to read about
R.A.F. Banff. What started as a quick glance ended in me reading the lot. I had to print
it for a more comfortable offline lecture. I look forward to more.
